I Think God Is Trying to Tell Us Something

In our lifetime we have not seen anything like it COVID-19, it's unprecedented. We have gone through SARS, H1N1, EBOLA, and the Bird Flu. These epidemics never quite impacted our society especially in the United States. We have been blessed not to feel the full blunt of the prior epidemics but I feel our blessings are about to change.

God might be trying to get our attention, maybe He is trying to tell us something. I along with a number of other people have posted our pages 2 Chronicles 7:12-14 which states, "Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. [13] When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, [14] if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Solomon in response to his prayer receives a response from God. Verse 13 is a warning that God at times will send droughts, infestations, and diseases to his people for a purpose. He did it to get their and our attention and cause them and us to return back to God by way of repentance and prayer. People if you have not got the memo from God yet it states it is time to repent, it time to pray and it is time to seek God. You think you have time but time is running out. Repent now before it is to late. You might escape the Coronavirus but you will not escape the judgment of God.

God loves us. He has proven his love for mankind. John 3:16 states, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Jesus took our place on the cross and suffered the judgment of God on our behalf. He became a living sacrifice that you and I might have salvation. Since he paid the price for salvation why don't we obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ? You can obey the Gospel by:

1. Hear the Word of God Romans 10:7

2. Believe the Word of God Mark 16:15-16

3. Repent of your Sin Luke 13:3

4. Confess that Jesus is the Son of God Acts 8:37

5. Be baptized for the remission of sins Acts 2:38
